O.K. I miss my swamp!

It's been awhile since we visited St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge.  We miss our swamp.  With the possibility of seeing alligators around each bend, every visit is an adventure.

The Blue Heron Nature Preserve in Atlanta

Florida's Forgotten Coast Calendar

There's a sparsely populated stretch of Florida coastline that stretches from St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge to Mexico Beach, Florida, that is still beautiful and nearly pristine. It's called the Forgotten Coast. It's a place where you can see all manner of critters: alligators, bear, boar, bobcats, coyotes, deer, and more. If you are looking for a part of Florida that offers a real escape from civilization, it's your kind of place. We spent a couple of years there and took lots of pictures.
